Mausoleums
Protect your loved one for all eternity with a beautiful, stately mausoleum.
Typically, a mausoleum is any roofed building used as a tomb which can be detached or attached to another building --sometimes a church. The mausoleum will contain an area for the eternal resting place of a loved one(s). Many times, a mausoleum is used by an entire family.
The term mausoleum comes from the tomb of King Mausolos of Caria (352 BC) which was erected by his queen Artemisia.
One of the most famous mausoleums in the world today is the Taj Mahal on the Yamuna River in India. The Mughal emperor Shah Jahan ordered it built after the death of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal in 1631.
